 There was a scholar named Liu Xiang in the Han Dynasty. one day he accidentally saw the statue of San Niang and was suddenly deeply attracted by the beauty of San Niang. however, it was only a statue, a statue with no temperature and no emotion. Liu Xiang took out his pen and ink to express his love for San Niang affectionately on the wall. 

All this happened to be seen by the three Niangs in the sky. After seeing these, she was moved by Liu Xiang, and Liu Xiang was not bad-looking, full of bookish, and then fell in love. 

However, if one is a fairy in the upper world and the other is a mortal, how can he enter into a marriage? 

As a result, San Niang turned into a folk woman, caught up with Liu Xiang and told him the truth, so that they became married and loved each other. 

Soon San Niang became pregnant. 

Just as the examination period for Liu Xiang was approaching, when San Niang was pregnant and said goodbye, Liu Xiang gave her a piece of ancestral Chenxiang, saying that she could have a son in the name of "Chenxiang". 

Two people send each other ten miles, it is hard to part. 

Liu Xiang won the list by virtue of his efforts and ingenuity, and was appointed as the patrol press of Yangzhou Capital. 

But when he was about to take office, San Niang suffered. 

It turned out that it was the Queen Mother's birthday and a big peach party was held in the Heavenly Palace, and all the immortals came to celebrate their birthday, but San Niang was pregnant, so she got rid of the disease and stayed in Huashan. 

However, when San Niang's brother Erlang God learned that his sister had been married in the mortal world, he was furious and blamed his sister, thinking that he had violated the law of heaven and wanted her to be punished. 

San Niang is unwilling to listen to her brother, and she has Baolian lantern to protect her body. no matter which demon or immortal, as long as Baolian lantern shines brilliantly, she will be stunned and captured. 

Knowing that Erlang was invincible, he made his heavenly dog steal out on the occasion of San Niang's rest. 

As a result, poor San Niang was pressed by Erlang in the black cloud cave at the foot of Huashan. 

San Niang gave birth to her son Chenxiang in a dark cave. In case of accident, she secretly begged Yasha to send her son to Yangzhou to stay with her father Liu Xiang. 

Chen Xiang grew up and gradually became sensible. Knowing that her mother was suffering at the foot of Huashan, she wanted to save her mother, San Niang. 

He said the idea to his father, but Liu Xiang was only a weak scholar who only sighed and shook his head. 

So Shen Xiang left home alone to find her mother. 

After enduring untold hardships, he finally reached Huashan. 

But Shen Xiang was only an eight-year-old child at that time and could not find his mother, so she burst into tears. His cry was mournful and alarmed the thunderbolt fairy who was passing by. 

The kind fairy asked why he wanted to help him, but there was nothing he could do about it. 

So he brought Shen Xiang back to his residence and taught Shen Xiang martial arts. Fortunately, Shen Xiang was intelligent and willing to work hard, and gradually learned six Tao and three strategies, all kinds of martial arts, and 73 changes. 

On her sixteenth birthday, Shen Xiang bid farewell to master and wanted to go to Huashan to save her mother. 

Tai Sin said he was ambitious and gave him a mountain axe. 

With his own ability, he came to Huashan Black Cloud Cave. 

He called his mother loudly, and the sound penetrated through the rock formations and passed into the ears of San Niang. 

San Niang can't help feeling agitated and full of feelings. 

She was excited to know that her son had grown up and came to save herself with filial piety, so she called Shen Xiang to the cave. 

San Niang knew that her brother Erlang was magical, Chen Xiang was young, and Erlang God also stole the treasure lotus lantern, how could his son be his opponent? 

So San Niang asked Shen Xiang to plead with her uncle. 

Shen Xiang listened to her mother's words to plead with her uncle, who knew Erlang God's heart of stone, not only refused to release San Niang, but a big fight against Chen Xiang. 

Chen Xiang was furious and felt that his uncle was inhumane, so she went hand in hand with him regardless of affection. 

The two men fought for hundreds of rounds, and even alarmed Taibai Venus and sent four immortals to have a look. 

After observing for a period of time, the fourth fairy felt that Erlang was too heartless. 

So secretly gave Shen Xiang a helping hand. 

Shen Xiang finally defeated Erlang and took back the treasure lotus lantern. 

Then he immediately flew back to Huashan, raised the axe and chopped it as hard as he could. 

All I heard was a loud "rumble", the earth shook and Huashan cracked. 

Chen Xiang hurriedly found the black cloud hole and finally rescued her mother. 

Having not seen each other for 16 years, the two hugged each other tightly, mixed feelings and tears streaming down their faces. 

Later, Erlang God also admitted his mistake to San Niang and Shen Xiang, and Shen Xiang was also ordained as a fairy by the Jade Emperor. 

From then on, San Niang, Liu Xiang and their heroic son, Shen Xiang, were reunited and lived happily ever after. 

This story is also widely spread because of Shen Xiang's filial piety.
