Zhang Liang was a minister in the early Han Dynasty in ancient China. When he was young, he lived in Xiagi (now the south of Pi County, Jiangsu Province). 

One day, Zhang Liang had nothing to do, so he took a walk on the bridge. 

At this time, he saw an old man in shabby clothes suddenly take off his worn shoes on his feet and throw them under the bridge. Then he pointed to Zhang Liang and said, "son, go under the bridge and get my shoes!" 

After hearing this rude request, Zhang Liang's anger went straight up, but thinking that the old man was old and not fit, he suppressed his anger and went under the bridge to get shoes for the old man. 

Watching Zhang Liang come up to the bridge with his shoes, there was a smile on the old man's face. 

He slowly stretched out his foot and said to Zhang Liang, "put your shoes on!" 

Zhang Liang thought: now that I have picked up shoes for him, good people will do it to the end, put on shoes and wear shoes! 

So Zhang Liangting knelt straight on the ground and carefully put his shoes on the old man's feet. 

After putting on his shoes, the old man smiled and said, "your child is worth teaching. Come here and wait for me at dawn five days after tomorrow." 

Five days later, Zhang Liang came to the bridge early in the morning, but the old man was already waiting there. 

The old man said angrily, "if you make an appointment with the old man, you will arrive later than the old man." come and wait for me early in five days! " 

The second time, Zhang Liang was late again, and he was ashamed. 

The third time, he waited at the bridge in the middle of the night. 

After a while, the old man hobbled. Seeing that Zhang Liang had come early, he happily gave Zhang Liangyi a book and said, "this is a rare book in the world. After reading it, you will have a great strategy and realize your grand ambition." 

With that, the old man turned and left. 

Zhang Liang thanked the old man deeply, took the book and read it. It turned out that it was "the Art of War." 

After going back, Zhang Liang read it over and over again and realized it carefully, which increased his intelligence. 

Later, with the knowledge he learned from the book, Zhang Liang helped Liu Bang to create the Han Dynasty and made great contributions.
